Star Slipper Crochet Pattern
This slipper pattern is a double whammy because not only is it the final official sock in the Sock Week Collection, it is ALSO the July installment of the 2025 Donation Crochet Series! For the past six years, Heart Hook Home had released a new pattern on the second Friday of each month, all grouped into year-long crochet series. Past series are:
2020 Washcloth Series (36 wash cloth patterns!)
2021 Household Series (useful crochet patterns for around the house)
2022 Car Series (12 awesome patterns for your vehicle)
2023 One Skein Series (all patterns that use one skein of yarn or less!)
2024 Dog/Pet Series (geared toward dogs, cats, and critters)
2025 Donation Series (items we can make to donate)
This year’s Donation Series is all about things that we can make in droves that we can donate to local shelters, hospitals, long term care facilities, etc. These patterns tend to be easily memorizable and quick so that we can knock them out while watching our favorite show or with our morning coffee.
This month’s pattern is a rectangle style folded crochet slipper that is so easy to make. I love the thickness of this stitch, and the way this yarn’s colors transition is perfection. That being said, you can make any rectangle using any stitch (including single crochet, half double, or any sturdy stitch such as the Thermal or Alternating Single Crochet Spike Stitch). You’ll fold the rectangle in the same way no matter which stitch you use.
For this pattern I am using Chroma Worsted yarn because of the gorgeous color changes. I absolutely love the bright colorways and the way the Star Stitch works up with this yarn.
