Let’s talk about crochet socks. Do you love crocheting them, or have you never tried making a pair? I’ve got good news either way, friend! Grab your hooks and gather your supplies because we are gearing up for SOCK WEEK: a full week of amazing crochet patterns for your feet!
Crochet Sock Week
Sock Week is a celebration of all things crocheted for the FEET. For one week only, we will have one NEW pattern for each day. From July 7th through 11th, there will be FIVE new patterns added to the Sock Week Collection.
In this “Sock Week” Collection we are using a different kind of heel or ankle construction than I have seen before. We are working from the toe up, increasing on each side of the foot as we reach the ankle. From there we connect the ankle and add as much leg as we like.
On Monday we’ll make Single Crochet Socks. This is a simple, no frills pattern worked from the toe up without short rows or complicated heel rows. For Monday’s pattern photos (the purple) I used Stroll Fingering in “Sprinkle Heather” colorway. I love the colors! For the video tutorial I will use Capretta Superwash in the “Hemlock Heather” colorway.
See Monday’s pattern here or grab the ad-free printable PDF on Etsy or the Heart Hook Home blog shop here.
On Tuesday we’ll make a pair of socks using Alternating Single Crochet Spike Stitch, a great, streamlined, and flat crochet stitch that works perfectly for socks. For the brown socks pictured I used Capretta Superwash in the “Morel” colorway. For the video tutorial I will be using the Stroll Tweed in the “Persimmon” colorway.

On Wednesday we’ll make a pair of super chic yoga socks featuring the Double Moss Stitch. This is a new stitch to Heart Hook Home and if you’re new to it also I’m confident you’ll love it, too! For the pair pictured I used Visions yarn (one ball per leg) which, to be honest, doesn’t have as much give as I’d like for socks. So, I recommending the gorgeous color changing sock yarn, Felici instead. I will be using Felici in the “Sebastian” colorway for the video tutorial.

On Thursday we’ll use the gorgeous Alpine Stitch to create a stunning pair of socks that you’ll never want to take off. For the gray version pictured I used Capretta Superwash in the “Carbon” colorway. I love the way the light plays off these stitches.ย
For the colorful pair I used Stroll Effects in the “Koi Pond Hand Paint” colorway. If those don’t look like a Koi pond, I don’t know what does! For the video tutorial I will be using Stroll Effects in the “Eucalyptus Tonal” colorway.ย

On Friday, which just so happens to be the date for the July installment of the 2025 Donation Series, we’ll whip up the chicest pair of folded slippers you ever did see! For this pattern we are using the Star Stitch with a simple modification that helps creating the toe that much easier. LOVE THESE! ✨ They work up quickly, and you can use stash worsted weight yarn to knock out a bunch of them for donation to local hospitals.
For the gorgeous orange/pink version I used Chroma Worsted in a discontinued colorway, but the “Lava Party” colorway is very similar! For the video tutorial for these socks I’ll use Chroma Worsted in the “Puffer Jacket” colorway.

And, there will be a BONUS Tunisian-in-the-Round sock pattern. This one can be made with a fingering weight yarn (such as the Hawthorne Fingering yarn pictured below).ย
You could instead make a slipper sock, a thicker, warmer sock, using Brava Recycle, also pictured below. More details on the bonus pattern are included in the complete Sock Week Collection PDF on Etsy and the Heart Hook Home Blog Shop. Make sure you’re signed up via email so you’re notified when that goes live!

All of the video tutorials will be available in that day’s pattern post here on Heart Hook Home, and on the Heart Hook Home YouTube channel. Make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss a single thing! 🧶
Here’s what I’m using for the video tutorials. All fingering weight yarns (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) can be interchangeable throughout the designs.
