Donation Hat Pattern
Whether you’re making a bunch of these hats to donate in batches to your local homeless shelter or a whole bunch for party favors, this fast and easy crochet beanie is sure to be your go-to for QUICK and EASY hats to crochet for donation.
This QUICK crochet beanie is the fourth installment in the 2025 Donation Crochet Series. Since we’re only using about 170 yards of yarn, and we’re using two strands, this makes a perfect pattern for a stash buster as well. Grab two balls of yarn that are each roughly 85 yards and go to town! Use two similar colors for a peek-a-boo effect or use the same color yarn. You can even pull from both ends of the same skein of yarn if you’re careful!
Perfect for crocheting quick hats to donate, this easy and fast crochet beanie is super straight forward. And because we are using double stranded, worsted weight yarn it works up super fast!
When thinking of hats to crochet for donation, we’re looking for hats that work up quickly, are easy to memorize, use simple stitches, and are nice and warm for the recipient. This hat pattern crosses off all those boxes! Let’s make one – or twenty!
