Do you or someone you love have a collection of Chapstick flavors? For this person, having multiple flavors of lip balms floating around in the purse or car can be a pain. Whip up a super quick super EASY Chapstick Holder crochet pattern that holds THREE flavors!
Triple Chapstick Holder Crochet Pattern
Nowadays you can get all kinds of brands and flavors of lip balm, including soda pop, flaming hot cheese puff snacks, and candies like Skittles or M&Ms. Most of the crocheted lip balm holder patterns I’ve seen are for single tubes. I don’t know that I’ve seen one that carries more than one tube and what I love about this one is that even the most ardent of Chapstick lovers will have their favorite flavors with them at all times.
For this lip balm carrier we are using cotton yarn and we don’t need much at all. Just about 25 yards and a cute little button of your choice. Any brand of worsted weight cotton should suffice. For the photos and pattern I am using Dishie, but any other 100% cotton yarn including Sugar n Cream, etc. would work great.
This is a super quick, easy pattern that only uses the single crochet stitch. We are creating a bottom and a top, and attaching the two along the back edge so that it can be opened and shut, similar to a hinge.
Materials:
Dishie 100% Cotton (Worsted weight)
-approx. 25 yards
Crochet hook in size 4.5mm
Small Button
Sewing needle and sewing thread (same color as the yarn)
Gauge: 14 scs and 11 rows in 4โ using single crochet, but might as well make one since the gauge swatch will take longerโฆ
Pattern Notes:
Pattern written using US terms.
Worked in a spiral throughout. Mark the first st of each round with a stitch marker.
