Have you ever had lettuce wraps? Well, friend, get excited because I have a NEW recipe today for EASY lettuce wraps that you can have on the table in no time. These take right at twenty minutes, and my kids even went back for seconds.

Easy 20-Minute Lettuce Wraps

Easy 20-Minute Lettuce Wrapsย

2 lbs ground chicken or turkey
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 C diced onion, about 1.5 onions
1/2 C hoisin sauce
1 tsp peanut butter
4 TBS soy sauce
2 TBS rice vinegar
1 TBS ginger puree (or fresh grated ginger)
1 TBS hot sauce ย (this will be very mild and kid friendly. Want more spice, make it 2 TBS)
8 oz finely minced mushrooms (optional)
8 oz can water chestnuts, drained and diced (optional)
1-2 heads butter lettuce or iceberg lettuce
2 green onions, diced (optional)

Start by browning your ground chicken or turkey. You’ll want to add in the onion, mushrooms, garlic, and water chestnuts as soon as you have them diced. Give it a quick stir and let the flavors meld and the meat brown. Since ground turkey and chicken are very lean, you can choose not to drain if you wish. I don’t. In a small bowl, mix all other ingredients, making sure to break up the peanut butter. Pour onto mixture in pan.

Wanna save this for later?

We'll email this post to you, so you can come back to it when you're ready.

Let the mixture simmer while you prepare the lettuce leafs, then load them up!ย If you like, top with shredded cheese, tomato and green onion. Perhaps another little dab of hot sauce?

If you love healthier options, and lettuce wraps, you’ll love these!

  4. Hi Ashley Thank you for the lettuce wrap recipe, sounds delicious. Will definitely try that. I'm a bit like PJ, starting to crochet late in life. I am trying to crochet some slipper/boots, found a good pattern on Pinterest but it was in a foreign language. I have got the soul done, and have done 2 rows of DC, with a little bit of Treble around the toe, but I am unsure how to do the shaping up over the front of the foot. It would be appreciated if you can help me.
    1. Hi Pauline! I'm sorry you're having issues with some slippers. If you send me a photo of them, or if you join the Heart Hook Home Crochet Community on Facebook and ask there I am sure we will be able to help! Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/HeartHookHome
