I’m so glad that the Alpine Collection has been well received. This stunning collection is comprised of five gorgeous garment designs, some of which are fitted, some loose, some flowy, and ALL featuring the lovely Alpine Stitch.
Everest Poncho Crochet Pattern
Now that the Alpine Collection has been released into the wild as a set it’s time to start sharing the patterns individually. The first pattern to be released independently is the Everest Poncho.
I decided to start with this one first because it is the simplest construction of the five designs, and we’ll be able to get our feet wet with the way we make the increases using the Alpine Stitch.
The Atlas Hoodie (XS – 5XL)
The Matterhorn Sweater (XS – 5XL)
The Ararat Sweater Vest (S – 5XL)
Kazbek Cardigan (XS – 5XL)
The Everest Poncho is a classic poncho shape and size. This is a one-size pattern that is worked from the top-down and is simply delicious to wear. The Alpine Stitch is quite a yarn eater so it gives the fabric an amazing drape and it feels great on. Almost like a hug!
This super cute poncho crochet pattern is warm and stylish, and I know you’ll love it too. This poncho has a classic fit with a wide neck opening to which we add a bangin’ collar. Perfection!
The poncho pictured in green and brown is a sport weight/size 2 yarn called Upcycle Alpaca Sport, a yarn that has sadly been discontinued. For the entire Alpine Collection I am recommending a sport weight/size 2 yarn and I used Heatherly Sport to make the sweater, sweater vest, cardigan, and hoodie. You could substitute Brava Sport, or check out this list of size 2/Sport weight yarns available online.
Grab the ad-free, printable version of this pattern on Ravelry, Etsy, or right here in the Heart Hook Home Blog Shop. Thank you!
