Matterhorn Sweater (Alpine Collection)

For this entire collection I am recommending the Heatherly Sport yarn. This is a size two/sport weight yarn that is an 80% acrylic/20% wool blend. Heatherly Sport Yarn
-approx. (1675, 1850, 2075, 2225, 2425, 2625, 2875, 3000, 3200) yards

Crochet hook in size 4.5mm or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge: 16 sts x 16 rows = 4” using the Alpine Stitch

Row 1: Fdc-19 (or Ch-21, dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each to end). (19)

Fpdc2tog = Front Post Double Crochet Two Together. This is a decrease used in the tapered version of the sleeves. To make this stitch, you’ll do the first half of the stitch as a Front Post Double Crochet (leaving two loops on hook), skip the next stitch, and complete the second half of the stitch as a Front Post Double Crochet. This removes two stitches from the overall stitch count.

Fpdc3tog = Front Post Double Crochet Three Together. Same as Fpdc2tog above, except with three of the post stitches. This removes four stitches from the overall stitch count.
